A serious sponsor signed with UEFA and will support women`s football

Visa, the global leader in digital payments, has announced a long-term partnership with UEFA. The company became the first sponsor of the women`s football championship after its sponsorship rights were separated from the men`s tournament.

This is an exciting moment in the history of women`s football. 21 million women and girls compete in Europe and we at Visa want to congratulate each of them. We are proud to announce our partnership with UEFA to support the development of this sport across the continent. We want to inspire, support and enable girls and young women to follow their dreams. Together with UEFA, we want to enhance the role of women`s football, because at Visa we believe in universal acceptance everywhere - from the pitch to the conference room, said Charlotte Hog, CEO of Visa Europe.

In November 2017, UEFA sponsored the women`s championship to further accelerate the impressive growth of female football in Europe and create more commercial opportunities for the further development of the game.

The partnership between Visa and UEFA will cover women`s football at all levels. The company becomes a major partner of the Women`s Champions League, the European Women`s Championships and all women`s tournaments up to 19 and up to 17 years, as well as futsal races until 2025. The final via betting systems of the Champions League next year will be played in Budapest (Hungary). England will host the European Women`s Championship in 2021.
