Bruno Fernandesht has asked Manchester United`s board of directors for assurance of the team`s long-term ambitions and support for the transfer market next summer in order to sign his new contract, the Sun reports.
The Portuguese joined the Red Devils in January 2020, when he initialed a contract for 5 and a half years, with an option for an additional season, but quickly became a leading figure and the management decided to reward him with almost double salary increase.

However, he said it was vital for him to be reassured that the club`s management would support the transfer market team and try to attract the necessary players so that the Red Devils could become a real contender for the title andfight for trophies at the highest level.
There have been many reports in the media that Manchester United have a serious interest in the two big stars of Borussia (Dortmund) Jaden Sancho and Erling Holland, as well as a central defender to partner with Harry Maguire in the long term.
