Soccer tips Enes Kanter Freedom wins FOX Most Valuable Patriot Award

Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom was named Most Valuable Patriot at the fourth annual FOX Nation Patriot Awards in Florida.


Kanter, who last played in the NBA on Feb. 8, was honored with a human rights award.


The annual FOX News Awards are given to honor community leaders, rescuers, the military and other American heroes.


Kanter played in the league for 11 years, after which he gradually became a full-fledged activist. He speaks frequently about league forecast by archive of soccer tips superstar LeBron James and is one of the NBA`s most outspoken critics, especially in light of its relationship with China.


The Turkish ex-basketball player, who became a US citizen this year, believes he lost his place in the NBA because of his position.


Whatever happens in life, always stand for the truth. Stand up for justice and stand up for everything you believe in, even if it means sacrificing everything you have.


People should feel happy being in such a country. What I love most about being an American is the freedom we have. The reason I wanted to add the word freedom to my jersey was to remind every child in America how happy they are in this best place in the world.


I believe that America`s best years are ahead. And it gives me such motivation to fight for what is right. I represent freedom. This is the best thing I could do, " Kanter said during his acceptance speech.
