Piastri spoke about the damage after the fight with Sainz in Monaco.
The McLaren driver shared details about the consequences of the fight with Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz at the start of the Monaco Grand Prix.


I clearly felt contact in the first turn. That part of the car was very sensitive. The team told me how much downforce I had lost before we tried to fix everything. This was quite a large number.


I don`t know how we managed to [repair the car], but obviously the duration of the red flag helped us.


Monaco is probably the track where the damage is not felt so much. It was a very, very light touch, but it has a big impact in the case of cars, especially with the underbody, which generates downforce. Something like this could easily ruin your race, " Piastri said.
