Soccer picks Sergio Perez: McClaren was the fastest team in Miami

Perez reported McLaren`s superiority over Red Bull in Miami.
Red Bull driver Sergio Perez, who finished fourth at the Miami Grand Prix, said that his team was slower than McLaren last weekend.


[McLaren] showed serious strength already in qualifying. I think the team just screwed up the qualifications a little and couldn`t get the software to work.


But, in my opinion, the competitors were the fastest this weekend, and we, perhaps, were a little behind. Lando [Norris] put a lot of pressure on me towards the end of the first period, " the Mexican noted.


Perez also commented on the incident at the start when he was close to colliding with teammate Max Verstappen:


First of all, I had a very good start, while Charles [Leclerc] had a very bad start. There was no grip off line and I ended up locking the wheels. I almost blew Max out, so I had to let off the brakes and I lost position on Oscar [Piastri].


Bad episode, but otherwise we had some pacing issues today. We just couldn`t find the speed we needed. We need to work and understand the reasons.
