Charles Barkley spoke about the situation on TNT. Inside the NBA will air on ESPN and ABC after WBD lost NBA rights starting next season.
We had a great organization under Mark Lazarus, who now runs NBC, and David Levy. The last two mergers have brought us people who have no respect for the dignity of others. It`s infuriating. Turner was the best place to work on the planet. With each new merger, people were treated worse and worse.
The funny thing is that we were not informed that we had lost the NBA. We learned about this from the media. And I learned about the transition to ESPN/ABC from the Internet. My friends Brian Windhorst, Bob Myers, Scott Van Pelt and Elle Duncan wrote to welcome me to the ESPN family. I was surprised at what happened. TNT didn`t even bother to tell us.
We were essentially exchanged. I would like to know about this in advance, " Barkley concluded.
