Hamsik is No. 1 in Slovakia for the seventh time

Napoli`s midfielder Marek Hamshik was selected as the best soccer player in Slovakia for the seventh time. The results via archive of soccer tips of the survey were announced at a special gala evening in Bratislava. `It`s amazing to be among so many big players, and the prize is prestigious and I appreciate it, and now I want to make my dream of becoming Italy`s champion, and I hope to succeed, ` said Hamschik during the ceremony.

The winner received 325 votes. Inter Milan Skrinjar`s defender was 287 and Stanislav Lobotka from Celta (249). Hamsik won the No. 1 prize in his homeland for the first time in 2009.
